It’s an old-School Vs new-school power struggle.
The two most powerful production cars in the world lined up in a drag strip in the blue corner representing the old-school is the Aston Martin DBS superleggera come with a 715-hp, 900 newton-meters torque, V-12 engine that provides shocking acceleration and a spine-tingling exhaust note. But the DBS is heavy, which keeps it from being a superhero on curvy back roads. That bulk makes it more challenging to drive quickly than many other exotic sports cars.
The Model S, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive vehicle, has a governed top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h) and it accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour (0 to 97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. It has a new launch control system which gives it access to 835m horsepower and 1140 newton meters of torque.
The Model S is heavier 2200 kilogram but it has all wheel drive. The DBS volante is lighter but only has rear-wheel drive but has no launch control. Price while is not a factor in a drag race is probably worth mentioning that Aston cost nearly a quarter of a million pounds or enough cash to buy two Model S.
